Acute Dislocation of the Metacarpal-Trapezoid Joint.
The trapezoid metacarpal dislocation is a rare event. In the literature, it is found in case reports. This injury is caused by direct or indirect high energy trauma. In most cases, the dislocation is dorsal and is difficult to reproduce because the joint is not very mobile. Given the low incidence and little evidence supported in the literature regarding the management, this injury can be treat...
متن کاملCompound Dorsal Dislocation of Lunate with Trapezoid Fracture
We report about a dorsal dislocation of the lunate accompanied by a trapezoid fracture in a 41-year old male patient after a motorcycle accident. The lunate dislocation with no dorsal or volar intercalated segment instability (DISI, VISI) was diagnosed by x-ray whereas the trapezoid fracture was only diagnosable by computed tomography. A closed reduction and internal fixation of the lunate by t...
متن کاملTraumatic volar dislocation of the trapezoid with acute carpal tunnel syndrome.
1 reported the first case of a dislocation of the trapezoid. Since that time there have been Ͻ25 reported cases in the literature. 2-24 Most dislocations are accompanied by a fracture of the adjacent carpals or metacarpals and usually are dorsal in direction. Palmar dislocation of the trape-zoid is distinctly more unusual, with Ͻ10 reported cases. 3, 4,6,22,24 A volar disloca-tion with accompan...
متن کاملMultiple carpometacarpal dislocations and an ipsilateral scapho-trapezium-trapezoid fracture-dislocation: a rare pattern of injury.
We report a rare case of simultaneous dorsal dislocation of 4 ulnar carpometacarpal joints and dorsoradial dislocation of the trapezium with an associated fracture of the scaphoid tuberosity. The injuries were diagnosed early and treated successfully with closed reduction and transfixation using Kirschner wires. The functional results were excellent at 17-month follow-up.
متن کاملConjugacy between trapezoid maps
Trapezoid maps are a kind of continuous and piecewise linear maps with a flat top. By the conjugacy relationship, we present a complete classification for four families of trapezoid maps. Firstly, using an extension method, we construct all homeomorphic solutions of conjugacy equation φ ◦ f = g ◦ φ for some non-monotone continuous maps f and g. Secondly, using an iterative construction method a...
